ESPN Makes Michael Bradley its 1st Official WAG
Mikey! You did it bro. On a day when I think I’ve heard the name “Brandon Marshall” said upwards of 400 times on SportsCenter, you still took the precious real estate that is the ESPN.com feature story. Boo yah.
Honestly though, this is some chunky love from the WWLinS. Sure they are broadcasting this summer’s little soccer tourney in South Africa and it’s in their best interest to start creating superstars and players to watch. But hot damn, Mr. Luke Cyphers, this is a good article. Despite the barriers the Bradley family puts up towards the media, the guy does a good job depicting the relationship between Father Coach and Player Son. In the good words of Sir Alex Ferguson, Typical Americans. How many coach’s sons did you know that made the All-Star team before you did? Exactly. It’s the kind of jealousy/injustice we’ve all experienced, so to ponder of how Big Bob paved the way for Little Mikey is pretty natural. Looks like Bob didn’t have to pull out too many cards along the way, Mike just wanted to make it his whole life.
With so many questions about the U.S. midfield entering South Africa, Michael Bradley is really our only sure answer. So read up you Yank supporters. There’s plenty of goods in the article including Mikey’s goal to one day play for the AC Milans and Man Uniteds of the world (cough Liverpool? cough) and a pic with him with his shirt off. Oo la la.
And because I’m the man. Below is the video of him and Freddy Adu the article refers too.
